Rochelle began Wombat Books, by first self-publishing her first book, Marny finds an Echidna. The book was successful (and is almost sold out) so a series of wildlife activities and crafts were created in the pursuit of animal and wildlife care and fundraising.
Rochelle's second book, Chirpy's New Home, followed on and is now available. Both books look at how individuals can actually help wildlife found in their own environment if they need an extra helping hand.
Wombat Books has the following goal: To create and inspire individuals to use the written word to share ideas, promote healthy living and look after all forms of life, both animal and our own!
We are a completely Christian Business and as such have high moral awareness and strive to produce product with values and ethics in mind. Future projects include those in Christian writing. Some future books will include anthologies of poems and short stories. The first of these anthologies has recently been released: Unborn Beauty. If you would like information about submission requirements, go to information. Wombat Books plans to help promote local Australian writers in our own setting as well as pays contributors for accepted pieces in anthologies, based on a contracted agreement.
Rochelle also understands how difficult self-publishing is and through Wombat Books plans to help those individuals who wish to publish their own work through an assisted publishing program. If you are interested in self-publishing so you have the ownership of your books and the control, but don't want to be doing it alone please find out more here.
New ideas, concepts and projects have been planned for the future including new books in its range, both wildlife educational and fantasy; each with a topics and messages that affect us today. Wombat Books is an expanding and welcoming business. For any enquiries, please feel free to contact us.
