What royalties do you give?
Our royalties are based on the Australian Society of Authors standards.
What is your time frame for considering a manuscript?
It will take anywhere between 4 and 6 months.
Where are your titles available?
Our titles are available through bookstores, online on our website, online at Buy Australian books. The Christian titles, (some which are published with our imprint, Even Before Publishing) are available through Koorong, online or at your local Christian bookstore or through Light the Dark. If you want to see any of our titles before you buy them, please ask for them at your local library.
Do you have an editor to look at the book?
Yes we have editors that will look at the book. However ensure your manuscript is well edited before submission to a publisher.
Do you offer manuscript appraisals?
No. If you have a manuscript appraisal done however we will consider that in our decisions for publication.
Do you have authors who do workshops?
Yes, many of our current authors are available for school visits and workshops. Please contact us for information. Or look on the individual author and illustrator pages.
Can you provide help for me to self-publish?
No, we are a traditional independent publishing house.
How many titles do you take a year?
We generally only take about 6-10 titles each year depending on the nature of the book. We also take titles under our imprint for Christian books (Even Before Publishing).
