Submission Information
Wombat Books accepts unsolicited manuscripts for review to be considered for traditional publishing. As a small publisher, Wombat Books has limited spaces for publication.
We are looking for entertaining original manuscripts, that leave a lasting impression. What does this mean?
Manuscript guidelines:
Typed, in RTF format
12 size font, Times New Roman or Arial
Double spaced
Please post your manuscript AND send an email to let us know you have submitted your manuscript.
We request you include a SSAE for return of manuscript or for letters of publication. It is our policy to return manuscripts that are unused. We prefer to return them rather than destroy them. We do this so you have a definite answer regarding your submission.
Generally if your manuscript is selected for potential publication you will be advised within 3-4 months. At times backlogs of submissions mean this is further delayed. Feel free to send an email enquiry to check if you haven't heard after 4 months.
If you have any editor/manuscript appraiser comments please include these in your submission. A covering letter including a bio and how you would like to help promote the book is also required. While we will endeavour to do a lot of marketing, as a small press we appreciate our authors being available to help in promotion, or having ideas.
We will not consider books that are not family-friendly. Also we do not generally accept poetry chap books. We do publish poetry in our anthologies however.
