Rochelle Manners

Rochelle began her career as a mathematics and science teacher. She has gone on to complete a Masters in Educational Studies. She is married to Andrew and has two small children (so far), Julian and Constance.

Rochelle uses her mathematics and scientific knowledge to write activities for students and text book activities. She is due to be published by Pearson Education for her additions to the Teacher Edition of the new Queensland program for Grade 8s-10s beginning next year.

Rochelle began her writing interest at an early age, receiving a commended result for some Haiku and a children's book she wrote in Grade 2 (age 7). She left writing aside for a number of years focusing on her mathematics and science. In 2004 she wrote and self-published, Marny finds an Echidna and the accompanying ebook, which has almost sold out. Chirpy's New Home followed being released in 2007. (A gap in time allowing for completion of studies and Julian's birth).

Rochelle has had a short story published in the anthology, "Grow: Under the Southern Cross" published by Writerlynks.

Rochelle has completed an editing course from The Writing School and does freelance editing and proofreading. Unborn Beauty was released in June 2008, edited and designed by Rochelle for Wombat Books.

Rochelle now manages Wombat Books to help other writers see their work in print, but continues to explore her own writing.
