henrysmithHenry is one of the principal creatives at Taste Media. He is a young and vibrant designer, animator & film maker. His work ranges from beautifully crafted claymation films & hand drawn animations to stunning illustrations and design.

All of the illustrations in the Invisible Tree series, including Love, Joy, Peace, Patience and Kindness were created from found, recycled & hand-made papers.

Lesley studied at the College of Fine Arts, receiving a distinction and animation honour in their Bachelor of Digital media degree.

She spent the next year in Los Angeles gaining experience and is now working as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer, spending time both in Australia and abroad to help inspire her creativity.

Lesley is the illustrator of The Anything Shop.

Leigh immigrated to Australia shortly after completing high school in Cape Town, South Africa. She studied Fine Arts in Sydney but it was her love of creating expressive, engaging characters that informed her career choice to become an Illustrator.

buryloisAfter a career in Nursing, Lois is now a full time artist and illustrator. Her large bird paintings are sold from Bruny Island, Tasmania, and are in private collections around the world.

She is self-taught and lives south of Hobart, overlooking the Derwent River. Instead of retiring like her husband, Graham, Lois has started a new career in illustrating and Annabel's Dance is her first venture into picture books.

Easily distracted by a new grandson, Lois also loves walking, cooking, family times and has a new West Highland White puppy.

Ann-Marie Finn

Ann Marie FinnAnn-Marie Finn is an illustrator and author of children's books. She lives in Brisbane with her two young boys who inspire new stories and ideas every day. She started her career in the UK, but migrated to warmer climates in 2007 and is now a happy Australian and proud owner of The Mad Hatters Bookshop in Manly, Queensland. She has a growing collection of children's books to her name, including A Trip to the Moon, Captain Kieron and I Despair of my Hair. She is also the illustrator of Harrison's Song, Eric Finds a Way, Lulu and My Brother Tom with Wombat Books.

BrennanKrista smallKrista is a freelance illustrator, fine artist, art teacher and stained glass artist who lives in Sydney, Australia with her partner and mischievous cat. She primarily uses traditional methods for her art, including watercolour, ink and oils. Krista's art has been featured in books, card games, exhibitions and competitions, but she enjoys using her pictures to tell stories most of all.

Arhcie Appleby: The Terrible Case of the Creeps is her first illustrated book with Wombat Books.

HeleneMagissonHelene Magisson started her artistic career as a painting restorer in Paris, where she was also trained in the art of medieval illumination.

She has been living in different countries, including Africa, France and India, and finally settled down in Australia. She ended up understanding that the easiest way to reach people's mind is with her pencils and brushes.

Kathleen O'Hagan

Kathleen O'Hagan

Kathleen OHaganKathleen is a Brisbane-based, emerging artist and illustrator. Some of her biggest adventures include painting the walls of a rural Fijian school, exhibiting her work in institutions such as the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art and the Mosman Art Gallery, and graduating high school. Ultimately, it is her inescapable desire to learn and create that just keeps propelling her forward.

Emma Middleton is a children’s author, illustrator and presenter. After a career in performing arts, during which time she danced for the Vienna Ballet, Emma returned to Australia to direct and teach at The Brighton Dance Academy.

Now Emma combines her love of children’s story with her love of the performing arts, to write, perform and engage with children; creating stories to inspire and delight.

ClaireRichardsClaire is a South Australian illustrator who started out in experimental painting.  Her favourite technique is layering watercolour over crayon, pencil and ink. Her recipe for making picture book illustrations involves acting out the poses, drawing on the computer and mountains of storyboards.

Robert Ingpen

Robert Ingpen

Robert Ingpen has been a leading Australian illustrator for over forty years, and is published throughout the world.

He was the first Australian to win the international Hans Christian Andersen Medal for illustration, in 1968, and in 1989 he received the prestigious Dromkeen Medal for services to children's literature.

He illustrated Mustara.

HinderSarahJaneSarah received a BA Honours Degree in graphic design at Teesside University and then gained a PGCE in teaching art and design.  

After several years of teaching she was involved in a car accident and decided to follow her dreams and become a freelance illustrator.
